Wiwid Howat X Kami Idea

by Wiwid Howat

When KAMIIDEA signed up and agreed to sponsor me with their clothes, I was beyond happy. I have been adored their collection since their first debuted back in Jakarta Fashion Week 2012. The quality, design and the thought of making women more feminine are the values that they have hold since.

I managed to do all the photo shoot in Paris during Winter battling with changing the clothes as well as the weather. There is no such a place like Paris where everything turns out to look amazing. It was all worth it! Thank you KAMIIDEA for your support during my trip in Europe.

It was wet and cold weather during our visit to Paris earler this year, but it didn't break my spirit or my commitment to take a beautiful photo with the grand lady of Paris behind me. Inspired by the beautiful Nicole Warne of Garypeppergirl, I decided to buy 10 balloons with different colours as a symbol of freedom.

The world is going pretty crazy, especially after the Charlie Hebdo attack, and we as Muslims again got tarnished because these idiotst just won't go away. I and the majority of muslims are embarassed of, disgusted by and unconnected to these pieces of crud. I just hope people remember that when they leave their house because us head-covered women always cop the brunt of the reactions - verbally/physically attacked for no other reason than the fact that we are obviously and visibly Muslim.

Violence and terrorism GOES AGAINST Islamic teachings. The majority of the Muslim community do not regard these idiots as obedient Muslims. So please do not confuse us with these very few bad eggs. Let's share our similarities and celebrate our differences.

A cold, wet winter in Paris didn't stop me from capturing its beauty. This time I went to visit The Louvre - yes! the place where the Mona Lisa sits. As soon as we arrived, there was a little bit of drizzle but I couldn't stop admiring the wonderful architectural surroundings. I have to say, every single corner of this city is a thing of beauty and art. You almost never go wrong when you're taking photos in Paris.

The Alexander Bridge

by Wiwid Howat

Pont Alexandre is one of the most beautiful bridges that saw during my recent trip around Europe. Honestly, it was really hard to choose a spot to take some photos with it because I can guarantee, you will look good from every angle of this bridge. Sam and I decided to go down a couple of stairs so that we could get the whole structure of the pole with the bright, blue sky in the background.

The Triumph

by Wiwid Howat

I woke up one morning and Sam asked me "so what do you want to do today?" and I answered "Let's have a stroll around Paris and go to Laduree to grab some snacks". It felt like a dream, except it was real!

I was loving the idea of just taking a walk in Paris and enjoying the city in general. Seeing beautiful buildings, French people eating their croissant in the morning and street musicians playing their music since 8am. Seeing all of those, made me believe that yes! I am in Paris. We also went to see the amazing Arc de Triomphe, the feeling of seeing it as well as seeing all the art works that cover the walls was extraordinary. This beauty still stands strongly.

Every Little Girl's Dream

by Wiwid Howat

I felt like a 10 year old little girl entering the gates of Disneyland Paris. The idea of going to Disneyland from the beginning was not always fun for Sam, because he thought it was probably going to be very childish. Even though the thought of going to Disneyland for him was so underwhelming, by the end he was enjoying it as much as I was!

As we entered the gate, I could see the castle from far away and I was so excited just like the little girl standing next to me screaming and telling her mummy how beautiful it was. I had no shame! I promised myself that I don't care what anybody thought of me or saw, because this is every little girl's dream, it meant a lot to me to be there.

You know how busy Disneyland is, the queues were very long. Thankfully we were able to get the Express entry ticket for most of the rides. Yes, we had to wait for a couple of hours but we had fun walking around and took some photos first before the actual adventure.

We spent the whole day there, literally until the closing of the park because I wanted to stay for the fireworks, and yes we did! I was so excited and would love to come back, and probably visit the other Disneyland Parks in all different countries and cities.

Paris is always a good idea! That was what Audrey Hepburn said about this magical city. Sam and I had the most amazing experience here for the first time visiting Paris as a couple. I can say that every corner is beautiful to take a photo with. If you imagine something old, classy and still elegant, this city is the first thing that comes to mind, and so does this Ria Miranda collection. This dress has amazed me with not only the design but also the details, and the pattern that is everlasting.
